ABOUT JOANNA

My Story

My journey began with earning my BS in Bioscience Technologies (2010) from Thomas Jefferson University and my MS, PA (ASCP) in Pathology and Anatomy (2014) from Drexel University College of Medicine. For the past 18 years, I have worked in laboratory medicine, with 11 of those years spent dissecting the human body for surgical pathology—a practice that continually deepens my respect for its intelligence, resilience, and design.

While my education provided a strong scientific foundation, lived experience—especially chronic pain and emotional unraveling—taught me what textbooks could not. What once felt like breakdowns became turning points. By slowing down and listening inward, I experienced a spiritual awakening rooted not in escaping the body, but in returning to it. I came to understand that healing is not about fixing what’s broken, but about rebuilding trust with oneself.
